I am Fred Davis a Blues presenter at City Park Radio, a community station in Launceston Tasmania.
I have loved the Blues since the very early 70's when I saw my first live blues band, (The Foreday Riders downstairs at 'Frenches' wine bar in Oxford St, Sydney) and have been collecting ever since. I liked Blues music before then, but didn't know it was Blues I was hearing, like Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Janis, and lots of others of course. I'm not what you would call a purist, I even like heavy rock blues styles, and all the other roots and branches of what generally comes under the umbrella heading of 'Blues', like Soul, RnB, Rock n Roll, Rockabilly, Cajun, Zydeco, & Gospel too. I love other forms of music as well, but, this is a blues site...

Here in Australia the blues scene is alive and well, there are now Australian Blues Web Sites and Blues bands are also starting their own sites too, all of which will be linked to, as I track them down.
